Rainy Filters are devices with self-cleaning mechanism where the rainwater from the terrace enters the filter to create a cohesive force thereby segregating dirt particles.

Rainy V Wire Screens

Rainy V Wire Screens are structures with evenly distributed continuous slot opening of 0.75 mm. They are installed in the bore-wells to recharge the ground water level.

In 2001, when water crisis gripped Chennai, the then Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Selvi J Jayalalitha launched a bold initiative of mandating Rainwater Harvesting Structures across household in urban Tamil Nadu. Necessary amendments were made to Section 215 (a) of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920 and Building Rules 1973 wherein RWH structures were mandated to be built. Henceforth, all new building structures should compulsorily have Rainwater Harvesting Systems built. The Government of Tamil Nadu (GoTN) implemented it with full rigor. But over the years the will of the people to harvest and conserve rainwater has diminished, unfortunately. The dry spell experienced by Chennai and its suburbs in 2019 has served as an eye-opener and fortunately, most people are interested in harvesting rainwater and implementing the RWH systems in their residential buildings.
